Renaissance castle (II. basic tour)

The tour is aimed at the living style of the House of Trauttmansdorff from the beginning of the 17th century up to the beginning of the 20th century. It includes chambers such as Lady's bedroom, lounges, Dancing Hall, Library and Knight's Hall. In this tour, there are 142 stairs.

Great Renaissance Hall
Portraits of the former owners from the House of Trauttmansdorff, a billiard table in french style from the middle of the 18th century.

Alcove
A room which used to served for serving food, pewter ware from several different periods. Ebony secretary with hidden drawers behind mirrors that make a palace effect.

Red Lounge
Lady's lounge, furnished in style of french rococo, mural with the mythological theme of „Adonis and Venus“ on the celing, miniatures made by the Viennesse school, and valuable china.

Gentlement‘s Lounge
A lounge with a collection of 21 venetian veduts from the Canaletto school, a french-type „à la boule“ game table.

Dancing Hall
Rococo wallpaintings, a representative room for balls, ceremonies, and concerts; a unique tangent – piano.

Small Dining Room
A dining room with still working Edison light bulbs from 1906; Czech glasssware and china set the dining table.

Small Renaissance Hall
Served as a family dining room during winters, portraits of the members of the Trauttmansdorff family.

Green Lounge
Exhibits from the Orient and their european copies; Chinese carpet, Japanese embroideries, valuable china.

Library
A collection of 15 thousand volumes in different languages, many social topics.

Knight‘s Hall
A unique portrait gallery of Bohemian monarchs.

Graphic Art Lounge
Graphics in many techniques, of several periods, furniture in Empire style.
